OUTFIT // "Do your knees get cold?"

 photo IMGP5074.jpg photo IMGP5106.jpg photo IMGP5068.jpg photo IMGP5069.jpg

(Jeans: Asos, altered by me. Shoes: Spendless. Cardigan: borrowed from mum, and seen before here. Bag: Givenchy. Shirt: Madewell)

I am genuinely surprised by the public reaction of these jeans. "Do your knees get cold?" Is the most common question which I have been asked by I think six different people. I really do find it an odd question! Particularly as the people querying are often wearing clothing that would actually leave them more exposed to the elements than I. You know, like shorts. Weird.

I WISH // blue bag, not pink

blue bag

Bag: Roberto Cavalli
Shorts: Forte Forte
Shoes: Common Projects
Coat: Donna Karan
Tee: Topshop
Perfume: Roberto Cavalli

Getting into that bag thing again (that I talked about here). Blue is just not a favourite colour of mine, but bloody hell, Roberto Cavalli certainly is, and our virtual relationship is going steady. And anyway, I'm trying to take a break from that whole pink thing that's going on. I was on the search for the perfect pink coat but that lasted all of three seconds after seeing pink coats everywhere. I still like pink though so you'll still be seeing more of it here, just not in overcoat form.... I think.

OUTFIT // old goodies - trench coat, vest, dress

 photo whitecoat.jpg photo IMGP4548.jpg photo IMGP4566.jpg photo IMGP4557.jpg

(Trench: Country Road (seen before here, here and here), Tank top worn as a dress: Acne. Shoes: Shoebox. Bag: Alexander Wang. Denim vest: (old) Shakuhachi).

Holy moly, well I was away from this space for a while, wasn't I? I've been editing all of my photos from Bali so I'll be posting a diary shortly.
For the outfit, I've had all of these pieces for a while now. I've grown quite an expansive wardrobe and I've being trying my best to dip into it and find new ways to style old goodies. Here's my first attempt, what do you think?

In Flight

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Just a quick post to let you guys know I'll be flying out to Bali tomorrow so I won't be here on the blog for a few days.

I know I've been pretty absent from the blog in general but that's really due to the amount of work I've had going on lately. I'll be making a concerted effort to get back into my beloved blogging when I get back from my much needed break.

See you soon! xx

I WISH // who is this girl?

chic, lazy, on-the-go

Shoes: Topshop
Skirt: J.W Anderson
Tee:  Warehouse
Jacket: Nanushka
Nail polish: Dior
Perfume: Marc Jacobs

Who is this girl?
She knows minimalism, but only because it's easy. She mixes up her neutral tones with varied textures and striking silhouettes. She doesn't own heels. She keeps a roller ball perfume in her handbag because she never seems to have time (or remembers) to apply perfume before she leaves the house. She wears nail polish in an attempt to stop herself biting her nails, but never wears a visible shade so that if it chips, there's no huge rush to have to re-apply.

OUTFIT // pink scarf

 photo pinkscarf.jpg photo pinkscarf2.jpg photo leatherjacket.jpg photo IMGP4321.jpg

(Scarf: gift from mum. Jacket: Viktoria and Woods. Shoes: Tusk. Tank: Acne. Bag: Balenciaga. Sunglasses: borrowed from boyfriend. Jeans: Asos).

Oh man, I'm sorry for not being around, I had a terrible virus and I've only just started feeling half normal again. I've spoken to so many people in Perth that had the same dreadful thing - bleeergh, gross. Anyway I'm back now and wanted to share this outfit with you. I'm definitely down with slouchy jeans at the moment.

I WISH // pink and grey

grey and pink

Top: Cynthia Rowley
Coat: Gianluca Capannolo
Skirt: Ermanno Scervino
Shoes: Tibbi
Perfume: Narciso Rodriguez

Pink and grey, what a great colour combo. I definitely wont deny that this outfit is inspired by this particular designer's Resort '14 collection. Do you ever get tired of seeing, hearing, saying and writing the "A" word? OK now I feel like I'm speaking in riddles, so I'll just have to say it again... ALEXANDER WANG! There I said it. For the millionth time. Bloody hell, I do get sick of seeing the same designer's name uttered all over the blog-o-sphere. But we can't help it can we? His designs are always minimal, simple, yet fresh and he always seems to be one step ahead of the pack.
OK, that's enough. I can't promise I won't speak of him again because... yeah, I know I will.
